Well it’s the start of a new season for our Corvette Family. We have just finished our 12th DVC Super Bowl Party at our home with about 80 members attending. It was a great day and the weather was very good to us. Everyone had a good time watching all the TVs’ we had going. There was plenty of great food and drink for all.
Many of our members finished at the top of their respective classes in Car Show and Auto Cross, receiving their well deserved Year End Awards at the WSCC Awards Banquet held January in Walnut Creek. Congratulations to all our winners and participants. It was great to see all the folks from the many clubs having a great time together and watching them receive their bragging rights for 2011. Now, is the time to get your glue guns ready and start making your Easter Bonnet for our 2012 Easter Bonnet Run. Before you know it, the competition season will be starting. First the opening Auto Cross for Beginners, (why not give it a try; you already drive the best sports car in America), then Car Shows will begin in early May with A Legend on Display, Corvettes of Lake County (Run to the Lake and Car show), followed closely by our Vette-O-Rama 42!
Our First Extraterestiral Highway Run, a four day three night adventure has Sold Out Again! I am sure you will be hearing from all those that go this year what a fun time they had. Wow, this is only the start of our events and activities…
What I am saying to all of you is it’s time to get your “baby” out and cleaned up and ready for a whole new year of fun times, events and places to go that our club is so well known for. It’s coming up on fun time again and I for one can’t wait. Let’s get it on!
